Dr. Scott is a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with over 20 years of experience in clinical medicine and healthcare leadership that he brings as the co-developer and clinical partner behind Highpass. Currently serving as Chief of Anesthesia at Advanced Surgical Center in Sarasota, Florida, Scott brings a collaborative, systems-based approach to care delivery. His leadership has been instrumental in implementing patient-centered solutions and driving operational improvements. Scott’s career began in the U.S. Army, where he served for two decades and held several key positions, including Chair of Anesthesia at Brooke Army Medical Center, the Department of Defense’s only Level 1 trauma center on the U.S. mainland. He was deployed multiple times in support of military operations in the Middle East and concluded his service as a Lieutenant Colonel, earning the Legion of Merit for exceptional performance and leadership. After transitioning to private practice, Scott served as Chief of Staff at Hendersonville Hospital in Tennessee. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led a multidisciplinary response team to manage severe staffing shortages, supply chain disruptions, and record-high inpatient volumes—demonstrating his ability to lead under pressure and drive real-world solutions. Throughout his career, Scott has remained focused on bridging clinical expertise with innovation to advance the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare.
